Heart-2-Heart

A true Heart-2-Heart is always nice to have with someone you truly care about. It helps you to understand where that person is coming from and it also helps the other person to understand where you are coming from. Most times, the result of a true Heart-2-Heart is a deeper relationship/friendship. The best times to have a Heart-2-Heart is when all parties are cool, calm and collect in their thinking. It's better to speak during times like that because most times, all parties are able to accept and process correctly what is being said without being on the deffensive. It's hard to try to explain yourself to someone when they are already on edge or already have an answer for anything you may say. It's much better to start a Heart-2-Heart when it's not expected. Because at that moment the person won't really feel that you are going at them but that you are just simply communicating. Communication is such a huge key in friendship/relationships. No one on planet earth can truly survive without real communication. Can you think about how you would go about your normal day without communication????? You won't get far, that's for sure. Communication is not just talking to someone but also being heard and listening to them as well. Communication has a few sides to it. You speak, you listen and you try to understand. If you don't understand, then you ask a question that will help you understand. It can get a bit scary too if you haven't had a true Heart-2-Heart because you don't know how the other person will receive what you need to say but I have learned a few things along my 30 years of life so far. #1 - Pray about the situtation and ask God to help you speak correctly and to open your heart to receive what they may have to say as well. #2 - Speak in an even tone and keep your body language to a minimum. #3 - Wait to receive a response, don't be so quick to keep talking. Make sure the other person has grasped what you have just said. #4 - Listen and try to understand what the person may say after you have expressed your views. #5 - Bring a resolution to the table, whether the other person agrees or not. Take some time and think to yourself, "Is there anyone I need to have a Heart-2-Heart with?"

Always on the run

It has been a very busy week but then again, when is my week NOT busy???? It's now 10:41pm and I'm still doing laundry and cleaning. 2 of my 3 angels are asleep and the other is eating a bowl of oatmeal. I'm so tired but there are just some things that I can't do completely until the kids are asleep. I can't wait to get them all on a better schedule where I can go to bed around 10pm every night and sleep until about 6am. Sleep deprivation is a big thing but it comes with the territory of being a mom. And I know that there are rewards to all the crying, working late, kissing and praying over my kids, and etc. but not all the rewards are instant. So although I'm half asleep even typing this post, I know that my kids are safe, that they are loved, that they are fed and clothed and it is all worth the hard work. Every single bit.

Whether you believe or not.....

Romans 14:11-12: For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

Okay so let's think about this scripture. I have heard a statement that I find pretty interesting and it's like this: "I'd rather live like there is a heaven and then find out in the end that there wasn't, then to live as if there is no heaven and then find out in the end that there was". Doesn't that strike something in you? That statment to me plainly says this, "Since I want to go to heaven I will do what I need to do just in case" Doesn't that sound selfish? I thought about this scripture today and I am guilty of thinking in this way too. We all have said to ourselves that since we want to go to heaven, we may as well do what the bible tells us. We don't think about the love sacrifice that was made on our behalf. We don't think about what Jesus went through at all. We just think about ourselves and how "heaven sounds great!" so we will go there, as if it were a ticket we brought and we are just waiting for the plane to arrive. How selfish are we as a people. The love of God is just trampled under our big ole feet. I can imagine how hurt God is when he thinks of what he did for you and me and all we can think about is getting our foot in the door. Wow people! There is another scripture that I believe speaks to the body of Christ as a whole:
Revelation 2:1-7 (v.4) You have left your first love......
People of God, listen to cry of our Father...we have forgotten the love we had for our Father when we first accepted Christ into our lives. We have forgotten the joy of our salvation. In 2010, there is so much evil surrounding us and we need to be reminded of the unconditional love that God our Father has for us BUT we also need to remember that God is a just God indeed! Search your hearts brothers and sisters and return to your first love.

Love you all and be blessed.
