Here I am going to be 36 weeks (9 months) pregnant on Thursday and I've got 1-2 weeks left before I give birth to my 3rd child. We are very excited and truly blessed to be a mother. You see it has been a journey when it comes to child bearing. When I was married on March 2001 shortly afterwards we found out that we were pregnant and then 2 1/2 months later I miscarried. Then 9 months later at 3 1/2 months I miscarried once again. It was hard, especially when the doctors couldn't truly give me an answer and they just weren't very comforting. I guess cause they see it all the time so they become, well, emotionless. I can't tell you how hurt we were. We wanted kids. We loved kids. And we didn't understand.
I can remember sitting in our car on a Sunday morning right before service and my hubby and I were brought to a scripture. How great is it when God speaks to you directly! God brought us to Isaiah 54:1-4. AWESOME! God spoke directly to us and comforted us in our time of loss.
Now who would think that years later we would become parents to 3 children????? God is good. And God is still in the miracle working business. We had our son in April 2006, our daughter in July 2008 now our next son is due November 2009. God is always a promise keeper. And we always keep in mind that God keeps his promises but He also reminds us that His ways are not our ways and His timing is not our timing. God is NEVER late!
